Roland Sands Design, or shortly RSD, is an American motorcycle, apparel, and product company. Its founder, Roland Sands, comes from a family of motorcycle devotees. His future passion and life-long occupation were pretty much determined in his early childhood as Roland, a 5-years old boy then was first introduced to a motorbike by his parents. In ten years, he got his own two-wheeled beast for the first time. Another fifteen years of engaged participation in races and involvement in California motorcycle scene had passed before Roland Sands founded his own company to channel his vision into real-world objects.
Roland Sands Design kits
First and foremost, through RSD production Roland Sands wanted to express his idea of the ideal motorcycle, something he conceived after decades in motorsport and product design. In one of his numerous interviews, motor racer pointed out how it’s almost impossible to build ‘a new classic’ when it comes to motorcycles. In the world of two wheels and a throttle, classic means boring, and all the stylings are temporary, save for few exceptions.
However, one thing can make a motorbike owner feel unique and stand out among others, and it’s building their own vehicle from a kit. Kits have had its ups and downs throughout the history of their existence. But there’s one thing that you can’t deny. If you build something on your own, you get this feeling of accomplishment and full ownership other the thing you created.
Roland Sands Design Scout Tracker Kit
Roland Sands Design Scout Tracker Kit lets you do exactly that, get creative and stand out. The kit was designed after plenty of demands from motorbike lovers. They often saw Scout Tracker motorcycles on race tracks and wondered if it would ever be possible to build one on their own. Thoughtful people at RSD took the request into consideration, and after two long years of design and development, the Scout Tracker Kit so the world. The kit, that includes aluminum subframe, fiberglass section, rectifier relocator, shock relocator, padded race seat, front plate and mount Kit, rear plates and mount kit and scout fork, is compatible with all Indian Scout and Scout Sixty models built after the year 2015.
